Highlights — frequently asked
How much can I save on Highlights magazine subscriptions?
You'll save 43% off regular pricing with current subscription deals, paying just $4 per issue instead of $7. All magazine subscriptions include free shipping forever, and bundle deals like the brainPLAY + Highlights combo save an additional $56.82 compared to buying separately.
Does Highlights offer free shipping?
Yes, all magazine subscriptions ship free forever with no additional fees. Your first issue arrives within 4-6 weeks via regular U.S. mail. For merchandise orders:
- Standard delivery: 1-2 weeks (may include shipping fees)
- Express delivery: 3 business days (+$8)
- Rush delivery: 2 business days (+$25)
What is Highlights Cash and how does it work?
Highlights Cash is a rewards program where you earn credits on qualifying purchases during promotional periods. You'll receive unique codes via email to redeem your earned cash for discounts on future orders during specified redemption windows.
Can I return Highlights subscriptions if my child doesn't like them?
Yes, Highlights offers a 365-day satisfaction guarantee on all purchases. You have a full year to return merchandise if you're not satisfied, with refund processing taking 2-3 weeks once you contact customer service.
How do I apply a Highlights promo code?

- Type your code exactly as provided
- Include any special characters or capitalization
- Click apply to see your savings
- Verify the discount appears before checkout
What payment methods does Highlights accept?
Highlights accepts major credit cards, PayPal, and Amazon Pay. Your credit card is charged only when your order ships, not when you place it. PayPal users can access "Buy Now, Pay Later" options for larger orders.
Can I time my gift subscription for holiday delivery?
Yes, during September-October you can select "December Delivery" when adding subscriptions to your cart. This ensures the first issue arrives in mid-December for perfect holiday gift timing at no extra shipping cost.
How does automatic renewal work for subscriptions?
Continuous Service automatically renews your subscription at the end of each term, charging your credit card on file. You'll receive an email reminder 30-45 days before renewal, and you can cancel anytime by calling customer service.
What's included in the brainPLAY + Highlights bundle?
The bundle includes both brainPLAY magazine (32 pages of puzzles and brain-teasers) and Highlights magazine (stories, experiments, and activities) for $63 total — saving you $56.82 compared to buying both subscriptions separately.
