About National Pen
National Pen (Pens.com) specializes in custom promotional gear — think branded pens, drinkware, tote bags, notebooks, and name-brand apparel. Right now, clearance items deliver up to 70% off with zero setup fees and complimentary full-color design included. First-time buyers receive 15% off by joining the email list. With low minimum order quantities and quick production times, it's an efficient choice for businesses seeking branded merchandise on a tight budget.
Free Apparel Shipping — Automatic at Checkout
Custom apparel orders ship free via ground delivery with no code or minimum purchase. This applies to branded items such as Gildan® T-shirts, Port Authority® fleece jackets, Nike Dri-FIT polos, and Under Armour® tech polos. Apparel-only orders qualify; Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, and PO or APO/FPO addresses are excluded.
Smart Ways to Cut Costs at National Pen
Whether you're ordering 10 tumblers or 500 pens, these strategies maximize savings:
- Start in the clearance section, where discounts climb to 70% off. Setup fees vanish and full-color customization is built into the price — no hidden charges.
- Join the email list for 15% off your first purchase, plus early alerts on sales and subscriber-only promotions unavailable elsewhere on the site.
- Choose apparel to trigger free ground shipping automatically — no code, no threshold. This makes branded clothing a standout value category. Current offers include code ...AL20 for 20% off storewide and code ...gift for 15% off with no minimum.
- Request a free sample before committing to bulk orders. Available for pens, mugs, tote bags, tumblers, notebooks, and more (one per product).
National Pen — frequently asked
How do I get 15% off my first National Pen order?
Join the Pens.com email list to receive a 15% off welcome code. Apply it at checkout. This code works once, excludes clearance, and cannot combine with other promotions.
Can I stack a National Pen promo code with other discounts?
Promotional offers cannot be stacked at Pens.com. If you hold a welcome code and a sitewide sale is live, pick whichever delivers the bigger discount — both won't apply simultaneously.
Does National Pen offer free shipping?
Free ground shipping applies to all apparel-only orders automatically, with no code or minimum spend. Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, and PO or APO/FPO boxes are excluded. Other product lines do not include free shipping.
What is the National Pen clearance sale and how much can I save?
Clearance at Pens.com slashes prices by 5% to 70% across dozens of promotional items. Setup fees disappear and full-color customization is baked into the clearance price. Inventory is limited and not replenished once gone.
What is the Perfect Print Promise at National Pen?
The Perfect Print Promise ensures your order mirrors your approved design. If it doesn't, contact Pens.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the problem. They'll provide a discount or reprint and reship the affected goods at no charge.
Can I try a product before placing a bulk order at National Pen?
Free samples are available for pens, mugs, tote bags, tumblers, notebooks, drawstring bags, water bottles, and can coolers. One sample per product is allowed. Samples feature the Pens.com logo, not your custom design.
What is the minimum order quantity at National Pen?
Minimums differ by item. Apparel such as Gildan® T-shirts and Port Authority® fleece jackets can be ordered in quantities as low as 1 unit. Core items like pens, bags, and drinkware typically start at 10 to 50 units. Specialty products, such as the Tape-A-Matic Tape Measure, require 250 units minimum.
How long does National Pen take to ship orders?
Turnaround varies by product:
- Most items ship within 2–5 business days after order confirmation and artwork approval.
- The Clic™ Gold Pen and Tape-A-Matic Tape Measure ship within 2 business days.
- The Nike Dri-FIT Micro Pique 2.0 Polo ships within 7 business days.
- Consult individual product pages for precise timelines, as they vary widely.
What happens if my National Pen order arrives defective or incorrect?
You have 90 days from delivery to report issues. Pens.com will arrange collection at their expense for defective or wrong items. Resolution includes replacement, repair, or a refund for the affected portion. Contact customer service by phone to file a claim.
Does National Pen offer any ongoing ways to earn discounts or credits?
Submit a photo review after any purchase to enter a monthly sweepstakes for $250 in Pens.com credit. Email subscribers gain access to exclusive deals and early sale previews beyond the initial welcome discount.
