You can use Fatworks grass-fed beef tallow on fries, on eggs and in stews, among other uses. A lot of trendy, some might even call them hipster, restaurants are now selling fries with tallow because of how the tallow bumps up the flavor. You can also use tallow for baking or frying purposes. Equally flavorful is the duck fat, which has been described as having a very distinct flavor that must be simply tasted to be fully appreciated.

You can buy Fatworks products in individual jars or in a bundle. A good idea is to buy the bundle of sample sizes of the different tallows and lards to get a taste of everything, after which you can just buy a full bottle on another visit. Just don't expect much; its only an ounce for each sample jar but it also costs less than $5. When you buy one of the Fatworks products, its helpful to know what their shelf life will be. The company estimates that the pastured duck fat will last between four and six months. Lard, when stored in the refrigerator, should be good for at least a year minimum and possibly as long as a year and a half. Tallow can keep for years on a pantry shelf.
