Winc — frequently asked
How much do Winc members save compared to non-members?
Members save 20% on all wines, plus get free shipping on every order. Non-members pay full retail prices and $9 shipping fees on smaller orders, making membership significantly more cost-effective for regular wine buyers.
Can I skip a Winc shipment without being charged?
Yes, use the Skip the Month feature at least 3 days before your Experience Date. If you forget to skip and don't make a purchase, you'll be charged $59.95 that converts to member credits for future wine orders.
What's the difference between Winc's membership tiers?
- 6-Bottle Membership: Ships monthly with 20% off and free shipping
- 12-Bottle Membership: Ships every 12 weeks with an additional 10% discount, bringing total savings to 30% off retail prices
How does Winc's referral program work?
Share your personalized referral link with friends. They get $40 off their first order, and you earn $20 in account credits. The rewards apply automatically when they make their first purchase (excluding gift card purchases).
Do Winc gift cards expire?
No, Winc gift cards never expire. They're available in values from $60 to $500, delivered by email, and can be used for memberships or wine pack purchases without subscription commitment.
What happens if I don't like a wine I received?
Contact customer support via email, live chat, or phone. They'll credit the full bottle value toward a replacement wine in your next shipment, encouraging risk-free exploration of new varieties and regions.
Can I stack multiple discounts on a Winc order?
You can use one promo code per order, but member pricing (20% off) and the bulk discount (extra 10% off for 12+ bottles) stack automatically. This combination can save you 30% total.
How much does Winc shipping cost for non-members?
Non-members typically pay $9 shipping on smaller orders, while members get free shipping on all orders. Re-shipped orders due to customer requests incur an additional $25 fee regardless of membership status.
When does Winc offer the biggest discounts?
The most generous savings typically appear during holiday seasons and major retail events like Black Friday. Members also receive exclusive email-only discounts and early access to sales year-round.
Can I use PayPal to split my Winc payment?
Yes, PayPal's "buy now, pay later" option splits your order into four interest-free payments. This makes larger wine purchases more manageable while still earning member discounts and free shipping.
